Center for Fire, Rescue & EMS Health Research

Director: Sara Jahnke

The Center for Fire, Rescue & EMS Health Research (CFREHR), a subset of the Institute for Biobehavioral Health Research, works in close collaboration with the first responder community to provide empirical evidence about the epidemiology, prevention and treatment of health risks facing firefighters and EMS professionals. Center personnel also provide expert training and services to first responder organizations to improve the health and increase the operational readiness of their personnel.
